E-Governance
For the effective implementation of e-governance, the Zilla Parishad has undertaken various initiatives at the office level, including the establishment of a Central Information and Technology Cell. As per the government’s e-governance policy, the following facilities have been made available in the office:
Zilla Parishad Website
The official website of the Zilla Parishad is https://chhatrapatisambhajinagarzp.maharashtra.gov.in. According to the e-governance policy, a gov.in domain name has been obtained through NIC.
Official email IDs ending with [at]gov[dot]in have been created for all officers and employees of the Zilla Parishad.
Broadband Internet and LAN
All computers in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Zilla Parishad headquarters are connected via LAN, and internet service is provided to all these computers. Computers at all Panchayat Samiti offices are also connected through LAN and broadband internet, which are used for email, BDS, and other services. Work is currently underway to provide Wi-Fi access.
“GRAMIN” App For Employee’s Attendance
To ensure employees are present at work during office hours, a “GRAMIN App” system has been implemented at the Zilla Parishad in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and all major locations in the district, such as Panchayat Samitis, health centers, and subdivisions. Employees are required to take a photo and record their daily attendance based on live location. The app also logs the employees’ check-in and check-out times.
E-Office
All departments within the Zilla Parishad and all Panchayat Samitis have official [at]gov[dot]in email IDs for their staff, and daily office correspondence is conducted through the e-Office system.
Video Conferencing
Since January 5, 2013, a dedicated video conferencing room has been established at the Zilla Parishad in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. All Zilla Parishad officers are in direct contact with the government through this system. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad regularly reviews the ongoing work via video conferencing.
CCTV Cameras
Monitoring the work of Zilla Parishad officers and employees is essential. Therefore, CCTV camera systems have been implemented in all departments of the Zilla Parishad. The live footage from these cameras is displayed on the computers and TVs in the offices of the Hon. Chief Executive Officer and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (General Administration).
Unicode Font
To enable work on MS Word, MS Excel, and other files from any computer within the Zilla Parishad office, emphasis is placed on using Unicode fonts. For Unicode font usage, modern software such as Google Input Tools, ISM V-6, etc., has been installed on all computers.
