    District Rural Development Agency

    For the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, the District Rural Development System has been established in the state under the Registration of Societies Act 1860 and the Bombay Public Trustee Act 1950.

    Various schemes are implemented to raise the economic level of the people below the poverty line through the District Rural Development System. For this, financial assistance is provided by the central and state governments.

     

     

    Important Functions of the Department:-

    • Implementation of central government sponsored schemes
    • Providing benefits to below poverty line families in individual and group schemes
    • Handling loan cases for self employment of below poverty line families
    • Designing ideal schemes for taking up investment or productive enterprise activities for the beneficiaries to increase their income.

    The approved framework for 08 posts under the decision of the Rural Development Department, Government Decision No. DRDA-1121/Pr.Kr.43/Scheme-5 dated 01 April 2022 is as follows.

    Information on Various Housing Schemes Under District Rural Development Agency (Zilla Gramin Vikas Yojana)


    1. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G)

    Objective:
    To provide permanent houses to all houseless and families living in kaccha houses by the year 2024 under the “Housing for All” mission.

    Eligibility:

    • Beneficiaries selected from the SECC 2011 list

    • Homeless or living in 0, 1, or 2-room kaccha houses

    • Not paying income tax or GST

    • Not owning a motorized vehicle, agricultural machinery, or fishing boat

    • Not having a government job or pension

    • Landless laborers, single women, disabled individuals, SC/ST, minorities, and BPL families

    Assistance Amount:

    • ₹1,20,000 for house construction

    • ₹18,000 for toilet construction under Swachh Bharat Mission

    • 90 days of employment under MGNREGA

    • Material transport assistance: ₹12,000 (hilly areas), ₹6,000 (plains)

    Funding Pattern:

    • Central Government: 60%

    • State Government: 40%

    Special Provisions:

    • Use of “AwaasSoft” software for monitoring

    • Beneficiary must build the house themselves

    • Technical assistance provided for construction


    2. Ramai Awas Yojana (Maharashtra State Scheme)

    Objective:
    To provide permanent housing to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Neo-Buddhist families.

    Eligibility:

    • SC and Neo-Buddhist families

    • Land ownership required

    • Must not have received housing assistance under any other scheme

    • Priority to BPL, widow-headed families, landless, and disabled

    Assistance Amount:

    • ₹1,50,000 (directly transferred to beneficiary’s bank account in phases)

    Required Documents:

    • 7/12 land extract, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, bank passbook


    3. Shabari Adivasi Awas Yojana

    Objective:
    To provide houses to Scheduled Tribe (ST) families in rural areas

    Eligibility:

    • Scheduled Tribe (ST) families living in rural areas

    • Land ownership required

    • Annual income not exceeding ₹1 lakh (rural) or ₹1.5 lakh (urban)

    • Should not have availed housing under any other scheme

    Assistance Amount:

    • ₹1,20,000 (transferred in phases)

    Documents:

    • Aadhaar card, caste certificate, bank passbook, income certificate, land documents


    4. Pardhi Vasti Sudhar Yojana

    Objective:
    To improve the living conditions of Pardhi community settlements

    Eligibility:

    • Pardhi community residents

    • Settlements not located on government, forest, or disputed lands

    • Priority to families not having pucca houses

    Assistance Amount:

    • ₹1,20,000 per house

    Special Provisions:

    • If the settlement is on government land, housing construction only possible after regularization


    5. Navboudhha Gharkul Yojana

    Objective:
    To provide houses to newly converted Neo-Buddhist families

    Eligibility:

    • Neo-Buddhist families

    • Annual income not exceeding ₹1 lakh

    • Must have their own land

    Assistance Amount:

    • ₹1,20,000

    Required Documents:

    • Aadhaar card, caste certificate, land documents, income certificate


    6. Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Awas Yojana

    Objective:
    To provide housing to economically weaker and backward class people in rural and semi-urban areas

    Eligibility:

    • EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and backward class families

    • Annual income up to ₹3 lakh

    • Must not own a house or have taken benefit from other schemes

    Assistance:

    • Grant of ₹1,50,000 for house construction
